| All in all it's a pretty good place to live if you work nearby. There is easy access to pretty much anything you need/want... groceries, mall, tanning, and restaurants... and the area is pretty safe.
However, since i have moved in there have been several muggings and also the guy on the news that somehow got a key to a tenants apartment and would enter the girls apartment and put on her lingerie. Yep that happened here.
However, the management is pretty good about sending letters informing tenants of problems and safety tips.
The security ppl don't offer much. I stopped one once to let him know that some small children were playing in the gym (which is against the rules) and told him I was afraid they were going to hurt themselves (one of them had just fallen off of the treadmill). He then asked me "where is the gym"... Ok, so if you are working security for an apartment complex...shouldn't they inform you of these types of things... or do they just give you a key and a golf cart and let you ride around.
The last complaint i have is that there are hardly any parking spaces available after about 6 or 7pm... you have to park pretty far from your apartment and the lighting isn't good so it's a little uncomfortable. It also doesn't help that the maintenance ppl and management park their golf carts in all of the parking spaces closest to the mail boxes. This means the tenants get to park further away or even at your apartment and then get to walk to get their mail. And it is normally 4 or 5 golf carts not just a couple.
So, I guess besides the little annoyances it's an ok place to live but if you have time you should probably look around a little and find out exactly what questions to ask an apartment complex before moving in. |
