| I have to agree with the other review...the garbage situation is absolutely a joke. Completely everflowing 24/7 and stinking like crazy. If you don't live near it, it is less of a problem, although planning your meals around when you take out the garbe is a hassle because the stink of 600 apartments' trash in mid-summer made me throw up a little each time I had to take the garbage out.
Also, this place is noisy. It is right across the street from Reliant Park, so any event there is going to have an impact on your lifestyle. The Rodeo is the worst. Ugh. Traffic nightmares for weeks. You can always hear the "Urban Ocean" noise from 610, which is only a few blocks away, and apparently Archstone lies on some kinf od helicopter route because you can't go outside for more than 5 minutes without seeing and hearing one.
All that aside, the place isn't too bad. The staff is somewhat incompetent, but no more than you would expect from any other gaggle of people making just over minimum wage to put up with the dumb stuff tenants do every day. Never had a problem with maintenence (always quick and clean) and there is almost always plenty of parking. Oh yeah, and since nearly everybody that lives there is either a patient (or relative/caregiver), sutdent or worker at the Med Center, I always felt safe there, even when the streets outside were lined 3-deep with Kartina victims.
On the whole a thoroughly average Complex. Now, if only I could get my Security Deposit back... |
