I moved to Houston without any knowlege of the area and sort of chose Cambridge Place randomly. Contrary to what others have written, I had very few problems; no rats, roaches, or break-ins. However, when it rains, the water does tend to pool on walkways and such (not in the actual apartments) so it is a little hard to get around. The complex is around 50% black, 30% hispanic and 25% white, if that's a matter for you. In my opinion, everyone was very nice, including the staff. The main pool is very pretty, the tennis courts are kept, and the landscaping is decent (room for improvement). OH! One bad thing- the gate broke and wasn't fixed for nearly 2 months! However, even with the gate left open at night, I never felt unsafe in the area. ;)
