| I am single young female professional. I was looking for a safe nice place to live. I raised my rent from $700/month (Medical area condo) to $1200(Montierra 1-bedroom) to live in a such place. I was assured that it is safe. It looked great to me. Here is my experience during the first 2 months (Feb-March 2006) living in this place:
Pluses: 1) The apartment looks great: nice kitchen, nice bathroom, nice carpet.
Minuses: 1) I can hear my neighbours and I know now their regime pretty well (I hear them walking, talking, making love, arguing, cleaning, etc.); 2) Maintenance doesn't come upon the first request and I need to call them several times to get things fixed; 3) I have big texan bugs leaving in my apartment, and calling the service to spray my apartment doesn't resolve the problem. The bugs come back. 4) My car (Acura) has been stolen this week from the garage during evening hours and reported found the next day with all parts missing (no engine, no tires, nothing). I will see what management is going to do for me to compensate for all troubles I went during the last couple of days. The apartment gate openers were in the car and are missing as well. No need to say that I am frightened to live in my apartment now. |
