This place seems nice, when visiting. Living here is another story. The first 2 weeks there, my tires were slashed. The exit or entrance gates were always broken, and they never would change the entry codes, even though the keypad was well-worn and you could tell what the code was. Nice place for thieves to visit, and they did.
The landscaping is sparse. The mailbox was broken and the last 3 months I lived there they never fixed it, so everyone had to go to the office to get their mail! Of course, only during office hours. I never saw a single A/C unit replaced, just always saw a guy carrying around a can of freon to charge the A/C's when there was a problem. He carried the freon around every other day.
The resident below me was evicted, but kept sneaking into her apartment for two weeks thru the window. Nice.
The staff is very nice and the prices were great. My only compliment.
On a weekly basis, I heard loud women arguing with their love interests outside. The guy that lived next to me had OCD, as he would test his lock after leaving 13-15 times, walk halfway down the stairs, turn around, come back, and check it another 10 times. It was like living next to the Uni-bomber.
People are allowed to hang whatever they want on their balconies, including laundry and furniture. It makes you feel like living in a third world country. I didn't feel safe at night; there was not enough lighting in the parking lot.
The laundry machines were always broken as on a weekly basis someone would break into them to steal the dolars from the changers.
None of the windows facing Richmond Ave are double-paned, so you hear car stereos booming down the road all night long, every night.
If you don't care about all that, and/or are a shut-in, the place is tolerable. |
