Houston is one of the world’s most innovative cities, a work in progress. As the nation’s fourth largest city, Houston is second only to New York in Fortune 500 business headquarters. It is home to the world’s largest medical center, the Texas Medical Center and to NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Houston is a prime stop for touring companies from Broadway; concerts and shows, from the Rolling Stones to Cirque du Soleil; and exhibitions for every interest, ranging from the nation’s largest quilting show, to auto, home and boat shows.

The weather allows outdoor recreation all year and entertainment day or night. Close to Galveston and the Gulf of Mexico, outdoor and water recreation is always available. Astro World Theme park and Water Park are popular stops for all ages. New stadiums host NFL, Major League Baseball, NBA, Women’s NBA and IHL teams. The outstanding museum district includes the renowned Museum of Natural Science and Museum of Fine Arts. The New York Times recently called Houston possible the most interest city in America for young artists.

Five star restaurants are just a short walk or trolley ride in the downtown area. Another downtown must is riding on the new METRO light rail that will take you through the Texas Medical Center, the Museum District, and to state-of-the-art Reliant Park sports and event facilities.
