Apartment Review
I would not recommend living here
Review Date: 4/5/2007 Reviewer: Anonymous
I lived in this complex for 2 years. The reason I never moved was because I was never sure when I would be relocating to another state. I tend to agree with all of the previous negative reviews. To start, They don't tell you that you need to go through TV Max, the only cable provider for the building, for cable and internet. It is mentioned you can get satellite, but I found that the only place in Houston my Sirius didn't work was in the building, so I would not advise it. They do loan out the gym to a personal trainer who brings all his clients there. There was rarely a machine I needed available. Thank God 24 Hour Fitness is down the street, but if you aren't a gym fanatic, and just need an occasional use, $65/month might be a waste. If you report a maintenance problem, don't expect it fixed for at least 2 weeks. That 2 weeks is generous, too, as I usually reminded them every other day. If you need your sleep, don't count on getting it here. It is loud. All of the time. Loud. The walls are paper thin and most people know they are not staying there long, so they act as they want. I won't rant anymore on this place but for one last thing. They make moving out the worst experience of your life. True, I had to break my lease, but they make you pay exorbitant fees. For me, it was 125% of one months rent +1 more...and forget getting your security deposit back ($800 in my case, AND I cleaned the apartment). It was roughly $4800. During my move, I tried to get the security code for the movers to get in and out of the pedestrian gates. They had to look up my name to make sure I lived there even after coming and going from the main office the past 4 or 5 days paying their various inane fees. If I were searching for a place to live in Houston now, I would know never to live here or any one of Lincoln Properties other locations, which, I heard from coworkers, are very unsafe. |
