Apartment Review for Oaks Of Westchase Apartments - Houston, TX

It's sad, but I have seen first hand how much a change in management can affect the quality of an apartment complex. And the change at Oaks of Westchase has been decidedly negative since the owners (JMG Realty) fired the two awesome ladies who had been managing here a long while and replaced them with a couple of younger chicks that seem like they could care less. They are rude and unresponsive, maintenance requests take much longer to get fulfilled now than before. And rumor is (but obviously it's hard to confirm) that they have seriously relaxed or removed their approval limits...few if any background or credit checks. Oaks used to be a pretty good place to live in, especially for the price you paid ($600 for a 1-br). They used to be GREAT value apartments...now they're just 'value-priced' apartments. This place is going to crap pretty quickly, and I can't wait till my lease is up to move. Hopefully I'll be able to find a way to break the lease before then.
