Apartment Review
Do not rent here!

These are quite possibly the worst apartments I have ever lived in. First, there is no insulation in the walls at ALL! Due to one apartment catching a small kitchen fire, caused an entire building to burn, because there was nothing to stop the fire. Also, the electric bills in the summer are extremely high ($350 for 1 month), because of the lack of insulation and poorly maintained A/C units. One bathroom had black mold growing in the ceiling and leaked some sort of chemical from the A/C into the bathtub. The management rarely did anything helpful, prolonged problems, seemed to not do any sort of background checks on a majority of the residents (i.e. large amounts of criminals, illegals, underage renters, etc). They tried to repair the gates and hire security, but residents kept on breaking the gates, so they stopped repairing them, and I can only assume that security left due to the massive personal safety issues. There was a murder, several assaults, large brawls in the parking lot, people always drinking in the parking lot, auto burglary/vandalism, loud noise at all hours of the night, either from cars or from stereos. Several residents also illegally sublet their apartments, and the management never bothered to check. At one point, someone had even started siphoning off power off of my line. Almost every other weekend there was a massively loud party in the leasing office that lasted until about 2am. Rats and vermin are also a problem. The apartments would not take care of the rats until some of the dead carcasses were placed on the manager's desk in front of the manager, but that was after they refused to take immediate action. Prior to that, complaints were made, nothing was done, and in a 72 hour period, I trapped some 22 rats. 22!!! Seriously! And after that they still would not act immediately until 3 more were trapped and brought before them. All the paint on all the walls and surfaces was a water based paint so any time you tried to wipe off a wall of counter top, paint would come up. The cabinets were falling apart, the sinks all had some problem either leaking or other problems, the sewage line routinely broke and over flowed into the parking lot, and the parking lot has inadequate drainage, and flooded. The dumpsters were always full, the washing machined constantly broke down from over usage. So I guess unless you are either a criminal or someone with questionable background or identity, you should avoid this place like it run by Satan himself, since living there is hell.
