Totally different experience, maybe the last person had a grudge for not paying rent or whatever. Nice staff, prompt service, and the manager doesn't put up with shenanigans. And a steal of a deal to be one block from Westheimer for rates like these. Two thumbs up.  Need to rent an apartment?
